First person my ass. Have you heard of Marsha P. Johnson, Harvey Milk, Audre Lorde, Ellen DeGeneres? The Stonewall riots? Gaga just patronizes and capitalizes off of the LGBT community. I mean, sure, she’s shoved us into the public eye, which has in some ways been a good thing, but she certainly hasn’t done so in an all-inclusive or completely accurate way.
Once again Bayard Rustin is forgotten even though he was not only a gay activist, he was a civil rights activist. Of course, the Black Power disowned him because he was a ‘pervert’.
